4/20 Portage Kings
<t>Good talking to you out there. I did a solo run in my little Alumacraft and started trolling from 35' out front of Portage headed for the Port. Hit three big lakers on the way that were released at the back of the boat. First Coho was a 20" chunk about halfway between the Portage light and the ...

23rd - mini-slam Portage
<t>Started straight out of Burns and trolled east. Slow pick on coho on the surface - mostly ThinFins on the surface. No action on downriggers. Didn't use any long lines. Caught one laker on a Red Squiggle RT on the surface - no weight at all. Caught a steelie on a Hunter Boys - Coho craw. <br/>

4/23 Out By The Pavilion

Ran a 6 rod spread, 2 riggers, 2 150 coppers, 2 100 coppers, and we tried a braid dipsey for a while ...

South end Kings
<t>I have seen some good reports yet coming out of Michigan City to South Haven, so there are still some kings around. But as said above, usually when you see good reports rolling in from central and northern Michigan ports, the fat lady is singing for Indiana kings<br/>

Portage 5/18
<t>Got out for a few hours for a late afternoon trip. Fished by the port with one other boat out there. We chatted a bit, should have asked who it was. in a little over two hours we went 5/6 on coho and a lone lake trout. No king bites. Water clarity was pretty good over there. Was still very dirty ...

Portage 5/21 - Exciting yet depressing
No shame in that whatsoever! Tough enough to land a spring King with a crew let alone solo! Great post and report. Kings are around and that is what is good to know.
