Help! Please tell me how to beat the black biting flies?

The only repellent we have found that works is Sawyer Picaridin insect repellent.  We have tried everything over the years and this works.  The only other way to avoid being miserable is to wear long pants.

Yep that spray works pretty good

I really appreciate the advice, I will look for that spray and probably still wear pants. They will drive you right off the lake. Great site, I have learned a lot and continue learning.

Herre is another brand that works great as well.  Forgot I had the stuff - Tim I will bring it aboard next time we go out.
