Hello!

Tuesday morning 5:45 am we motored out of the harbor and ran out to 88 fow and started setting up continued to keep trolling on a North West heading. We wanted to check our previous spots but the fish were not their in any numbers like last week so we continued trolling out.

Started getting hits in 111 foot of water but kept trolling out to 139 foot of water then turned and followed the line we trolled out on. Each time we got close to a spot where we caught fish on the way out a fish would hit. We repeated this process until the wind and waves picked up and made it impossible to troll our line. At 1:30 central time we started pulling lines. We had 4 and 5 foot waves by the time we were ready to go in.

We ended up with 18 very nice fish. 3 steelhead 10 to 12 pounds and 15 nice coho.

We ran 60 ft copper with D/F or green and silver spoon.

We ran 180, 240 and 300 ft of copper. Only took hits on the 180 and 240 coppers. D/F on the 180 and mixed veggie on the 240 copper.

dipsy on #3 with D/F  was really good all morning until about 11 am.

Riggers were quiet until we put a D/F down 40 ft and it was hot for a while.

Trip back in was a little rough!
By the way, my son put a green thin fish out on a flatline and had the biggest steelhead until the board dove. This steelhead was out of the water more than he was in the water! It was awesome to watch him do all that jumping!

We had plenty of action until 12 noon central time.

Thank you! After flatlining 3 times in April 2019 I finally have the strength to get back out there plus my son has finally gotten bit by lake Michigan fishing! Without him the boat would set on the trailer in the barn. For me its a dream come true.

I hope the fish stay through the summer and then the kings move in. In the late 70s and early 80s the kings stayed around all year long.

Thanks again!
