Wow, what a fish. Not that familiar with walleye, what's the state record? Get a weight on that beast?

I picked up one last spring in front of Cook that was 32 1/2, 13 lbs. Your fish is a tank, great job. If we could figure them out on a regular basis, it would be a diamond mine!

Very nice- normally have to go to Erie to get one like that. Too bad we can't get them regularly like that on the south end.

State record is 14 lbs, 4 oz
OP's walleye is probably between 12 and 13. Absolutely fantastic fish.
I have personally seen 4 walleye over 13 pounds come out of Michigan City. And one that was about one big shad meal away from breaking the state record. If it's to be broken, it probably will be out of Michigan City, or maybe the Port.
There are not a ton of eyes dude to the lack of great habitat (weeds, rock, any structure, etc) but the ones that do end up down here have lots to eat so they get huge.

This is one that we took a few years back. Late September, around 9 at night. Felt like we won the lottery!
