We set up straight east of Gary light house at approx the start of lake street wall on the beach in approx 44 fow. We trolled all the way to the light house and back all day the entire area is loaded with fish. Most of them are bigger than the average fish, compared to some other places I have fished. I was running 8 boards and one rigger. I ran big fish baits for Kings and lakers but nothing had success. On the boards after I found the pattern I ended up with all thin fish out. Red with black squiggles was ok but water melon was the stud. I ended up running it on I believe 5 rods. J-9s and firetiger thin fish caught fish but were a little slow today. The boards I was running 4 rods with 5/8 oz keel weights 2 rods with 1/2 oz keel weights and 2 flat lines. One one side of the boat I was running the baits 30 feet back behind the board on the other side 35 feet back. The red thin fish were much better on the flat lines than with the keel weights. I’m not sure of the exact name of the color of the hot bait but here is a pic. I have found this bait has been my best producer when the water is heavily silted or muddy. I was trolling 2.5 to 2.8 at the ball. We ended up taking first place but just by a hair. Fishing is on fire get out there before these fish move north.

Congrats on 1st place! We fished the same area but we took most of our fish on 1-3 colors on yellow and orange spoons. We did take a few on thin fish.
