Hammond to Indiana Harbor 4/23

Went to the mouth of Indiana Harbor today and got in with the few boats already there by 6:50 or so, way more showed up, we launched from Hammond. Got the first fish before I could even put the first rod in the holder, was a blast that I didn’t expect to have one hit as it was still going out just after I attached a yellow bird. Ended up picking up another three or so in the next hour. Fifth came shortly after the first bunch and then it was a bite off and on until we got to eight coho and then it died, wind had changed directions and had also picked up considerably so made the decision along with several others to run back to port before it got worse. Fish hit mostly red cranks, Brad’s Thinfish and other rattling baits and also caught some on a six inch dodger and aqua fly.
