Launched at NB and trolled towards MC in 40-60 ft. I didn't mark much bait today, but found a few fish going 4-7. Two fish were shorts, and one that I lost was also likely small. I must have hit a school because I caught three small fish very quickly on spoons rigged as sliders on rigger down 30 ft. The others were all nice Coho - 1 on D/F combo, 1 on a Wiggle Wart chartreuse and blue UV, and the rest on small spoons. The fish were coming in hot and then going crazy at the boat, and I lost two good ones while trying to get them in the net. I was able to keep two Coho - both around 4 lbs. I quit a little early when the north wind picked up and it got choppy.
I agree with BN about the nearshore bite coming to an end. The water was 54 degrees everywhere yesterday and it may be time to head off shore.
