San Diego Sport Fishing!!!

Post by willbill219 »

Here's a few pics from are trip to San Diego a few weeks ago, We had a great day of fishing. The Boat brought back 163 yellow tail jack, I landed my first yellowtail ever, and caught my personal 5 man limit!!!!. Biggest fish was a 28 pounder, which fought about like you would think a 60 pound king would! Talk about some bruiser fish!!! haha If anyone is looking for a cool fishing trip to go on look into heading out that way, think it might be more addicting than fishing lake Michigan!! speaking of, cant wait to get the boat out soon and set some lines! Hope everyone has a good 2016 season!!

What boat were you on? I've been on the Royal Polaris once and the Polaris Supreme about 10 trips. All of them are great, the trip of a lifetime.

Nice yellowtails. Only got into them once but had a ball with them using my Downrigger rods and 20# line. Mostly on the trips I went on were bluefin and albacore. One trip was all yellowfin tuna, but they were only 15 pound dinks.

B N, that trip was on the pacific queen, They have a real good crew on that boat, and there pretty laid back. My brother in law has been out there a few times in the past couple of weeks. Boat limited on blue fin both trips with 15 to 30 pound average . I'm still looking to land my first tuna, hoping to get it done in September. Going on that 3 day limited load trip that I posted about , that will be the longest one I have done yet. I'm saving my pennies though so I can get out on a long range boat one of these days and have a chance at a tuna bigger than me!! hahah really want that picture for my fishing wall!!

The PQ is one of the newer boats. All of them are good. Most of my trips were 4 and 5 day on the Polaris Supreme in August. There's no bigger bang for a buck than on these boats.
