Wire divers

Setting up a pair of wire divers with 19 strand torpedo. Does anyone have an accurate dive curve for this setup on a 1 setting?

Depends on the diver but there's probably some charts on their website that can get you close

There is no chart that I am aware of other than the charts that come with the Dipsey packaging. The Torpedo Divers have charts also but they are only for the Diver not for wire hooked to divers that I have seen. On my wire divers I have noticed the farther you let them out the lower the dive ratio. I think I figure about 2:1 for the first 75-100 ft so for every 2ft out about 1 foot deep. This also changes with the diver setting like you mentioned setting at 1, it will stay more consistant out to and past 100ft. That is just my experience over the years and speed will definitly play a factor so take it with a grain of salt as I may be off a little as some say I am, a little off that is.

Ya. My buddy said he ticks bottom at in 60fow at 2.6mph with 180 out on. 1.5 setting. 3:1 at that depth.

Puts it right in line with the link MC posted above from torpedo. Their 7 strand with their diver will get 66' with 200' line out at 2.5mph.

Don't forget to factor in what lure you are pulling. A spoon with little drag will go much deeper than a dodger and fly. Spinnies are different than dodgers, paddles are different and meat rigs as well.

Now start factoring in are you using a magnum diver (heavier weight), are you using the quarter inch ring or the oversized ring that comes with the magnum and all you need is a computer on board to sort it all out.

So just hang it out there somewhere you suppose is in the zone and listen to the radio or listen to what the fish are or are not saying. Make adjustments until something clicks and then start it all over the next trip.
