Portage pm 6/28

Set lines around 4 at the tri state and kept a north troll going till 7ish. Got out to 15 miles straight north of portage and 115 fow.Hot rods were the 200 coppers with mag spoons. Ended the night 6 for 10ish with a nice mixed bag. The king went 16 and laker was a little of 20 on the scale. We lost another slob laker at the back of the boat that was as big or bigger. Was a beautiful night to be out.

Nice fish, thanks for the report. Do you actively fish for lake trout and silver fish at the same time?

No we never really go and “target” lakers except for a tournament day if fishing is tough. That fish came in on a 200 copper in 90ish fow. My buddy’s arms were burning! Lol forgot to mention in my report that the good temp break was right around 50 to 55 fow so I would assume that fish was sitting on thermocline and liked the way our spoon looked.
