Left Hammond at 4:30pm for a few hours with three other guys, two who had never been on the big pond, ran to the tri state area. Started around 70fow with a NE troll, marking bait balls 35' - 40' down. Once we passed 80fow, bait disappeared, so we turned back south. Kept a close eye on the storms to the south, they loomed but never enough to chase us off the lake. Ended the evening catching nothing but water fleas, went 0/2. Had one other boat in the area until about 6:30 when we saw them head back towards portage.
At least we were treated to one incredible sunset and no flies.
