Fished early this morning in the dark heavy fog and light rain and only able to navigate by the GPS to the area I have been fishing. By the time I got the Ipilot dropped and set to anchor my partner was already baited up and dropping down and reeling up a quick double bubble! I was like WTF looking at the graph! Bingo it's going to be a quick day as the perch we piled up pounding on a school of baitfish! I am hearing of guys saying they were out in the same area and around the same time catching fish but I yet to see another boat perch fishing over the past week or so .... It's been an early morning bite but today with the overcast with brief spurts of sun and heavy fog the perch were still there and very active the entire time. We took our limits very quickly and called it a day .... !

I know I would be going nuts idling around the lake @ 2mph watching the flying rats and waiting for a rod to release. Have you seen or heard of any guys perching around your area?

Yes Charlie, I know a few guys who have tried over the last couple of weeks and nothing!
Thanks Bob! I thought about going back out this afternoon and bringing the kids out so they could get in on this bite. I had everything ready to go back out and then I find out my daughters softball game that was cancelled is back on. So I'll be back out early to get a few more of these bandits while they are still around.

One would think that anyone truly having luck like this would at least share some general information. I'm not talking about specific GPS numbers, but the general area would be of some help. Exchanging information should be the standard for forums of this nature.
The South End provides useful resources and discussion forums for those that fish The South End of Lake Michigan for Salmon, Steelhead, Perch, and Bass as well as elsewhere in the Region and Chicago area.
