Fished from shore for the first time today with a couple of friends at 89th street slip. It was a nice change of pace and was nice not having to clean up the boat afterwards. The 3 of us limited out with 9 to 10 inch perch. Some jumbos have moved in I personally seen about 6 caught. We fished from about 6:30 to 12:00. Still tons of small ones too. Happy thanksgiving everyone.

If you look at the picture it's the first barge slip inside the river. It's a Chicago fishing spot. Park at on 89th st off lake shore drive and walk in.

I had a couple dozen extra minnows from yesterday's trip. With the weather being so warm I took my youngest daughter with me back to the slip. I am hoping to keep her interested in fishing and hope I will have a life long fishing buddy. I found out today her attention span is much shorter if we are not on the boat lol. She lasted about 90 min or so but that's not to bad for a 5 year old. We ended up with 4 keepers. I love how she gets so excited to go fishing with me. Be sure you are legal co was out checking everyone today.
