10-22-2022 launched Hammond again and headed to Cal River. Heavy 2ft waves heading out. Close to 3ft heading back two hours later. The lake and river were very milky. Those darn heavy winds stir the crap out of the waters. Surface temp 51. 5 degrees lower than a week ago. Seems to be dropping fast.
Scanned perch area's and did notice a few schools more than week before. Didn't drop any perch rigs to catch and see.
Did cast for smallies and ended up with two rock bass. The rock bass where cold to the touch. Seems the bottom of the river cooling quick also.
Saw lots of bass boats/fisherman along the walls. Not sure if a tournament was going on or everyone just enjoying the nice weather. Lake waves not good and river was choppy too. Spoke to one bass guy caught nothing.

Went out today searched cal harbor, slips, up river nothing yet water temp was 54.
