Fished around the green can near the port on the afternoons of the 22nd and 23rd and did pretty well.

We fished out of Michigan City Saturday. Started north out in front of the water tower. Only got a couple, so went to Mt Baldy and same. A ton of boats out, and we heard close boats with Livescope saying the perch were right under us. Just not hungry apparently. We are done chasing them for the year.

Saw quite a few great reports on facebook (Lake Michigan Perch Fishing group) from Michigan City to St. Joe this past weekend

Thermocline is still around so conditions are good!

One thing I have seen online recently is lots of people saying they are marking perch but not catching them - but many of the pics people have posted are clearly schools of bait, not perch. Just as an FYI to the less experienced guys. Perch are typically blobby schools, not huge, and tighter to the bottom than alewife. Usually if you are on perch and a big alewife school comes thru, it makes the bite really hard. So I try to avoid big schools of bait if possible

Thanks to all that have replied to this post.
been out numerous times over the last couple weeks with decent results.
One thing we found was when we found perch that just would not bite we had to change up on color of jigs being used.
some days the fish skin fly was good other days the chartruse or orange flys did the trick.
keep those posts coming. Thaks again.
