Had the pleasure of hosting Dirty on board the angry pirate today. We Headed out of east Chicago this morning at about 5:15 in nice big north rollers. After an hour of driving we ended up at our fishing location north of the wreck. Started off with a nice king and steelhead. We thought we were onto something but then things slowed down. We ended for 5 for maybe 10 or so. 1 King and 4 steel. We were able to determine most lost fish were steelhead. There was a good temp break down about 45 feet. Fish came on a little bit of everything our King came on a green glow meat rig. On the wire diver on a 2.5 back 115. Other hits came on 250, 225, 200 and 150 coppers. Spoons of all sizes from lemon ice to uv green dolphin. All in all it was a fun trip lots of laughs and jokes with good people today just the only problem was I could not seem to keep the tangle fairy out of the boat. I think Jeff brought her along from his mishap at the tournament the other week lol. No big losses just a few head scratchers on how in the world did that happen lol.

I attempted to head out of Hammond and once I got out of the breakwall I knew it wasn't going to happen. I could have braved the waves but as long as it would have taken me to get to the spots I wanted to hit it just wouldnt have been worth it. Plus it just is not fun trolling in those kind of waves and it was just me and the Mrs so mission aborted. Glad you guys got out and very nice fish.
