We were on the water in Portage by 7:30 AM. Made the run over to the south wall at Gary Light set up and trolled west. Action started as soon as we got west of the hole in the wall, running in 32 FOW . The hot spoon on Friday never took a fish today. Red Arties and little Cleo spoons got all the action today. Ended up going 6 for 12. 2 Downrigger's set at 14 feet. Ran 4 flatlines. Surface temperature was 39°. Action stayed hot till the cold front moved through at almost 10 AM then everything shut off. Best thing was the grandson had a great day, he reeled in all the fish. Rudey

That's great Rudey keep the fun in fishing for the kids. If they can't cast, let 'em reel. Looks like I am going to be joining you in the the rank of grand dad in October. I am going to teach my grand kid about the lake also. I will do the same thing for him or her whichever it will be.

Good to hear Rudey!! I was out there as well this morning. I believe i trolled past you a time or two. We went 7 for 10, most of the action coming around the hole in the wall along the steel break wall. Fish stopped biting for us too as soon as that wind switched.
