This is very good info guys. My batteries went dead on my fish hawk last time out at about 8:30. I had forgotten to but replacements in the boat. I was doing exactly as netminder stated and it works just pay attention to your speeds and sligh turns as the bites happen to find the pattern. Offshore speeds range from boat to boat I troll much faster than most but I do well I believe a lot of it has to do with the baits and presentation. I normally start at 2.8 at the ball and will some times push up to 3.3. But in the same respect there are many fisherman that do not do well at that speed and do very well at 2.2 to 2.5.
It's better to ask forgiveness than for permission.
