Got a 3 man limit in an hour today around the Gary steel wall. Lots of doubles and a couple triples. They were hitting anything today. Saw Angry Pirate out there too.

My dad and I limited out today in the same area, but definitely not as quick. Can you share the lures and distance from the reel that you fished?

Our best lures were:

~ WonderBread Brads ThinFin @ 100’ back (took 4)
~ Pink w/ black squiggles Brads ThinFin @ 50’ off a yellow bird (took 2)
~ orange with bronze backed spoon down 13’ and back 10’ on a down rigger (took 3)
~ orange dodger with green peanut fly down 13’ and back 10’ on a down rigger (took 1)

What else did you have out that didnt work? What speed did you focus in on? I would personally scrap the dodger this time of year but thats just me.

Anything orange was working. Orange thin fins, Rapala J-9's, hot n tots. Blue colored thin fins too. Ran them all 50'-70' back. Had a silver/green/blue spoon on dipsy diver down 15' that was working too.

The following did not produce:

brads thin fins
~bronze with red harring bone pattern
~red with black squiggles

~orange fat rap
~orange j-9
~pink and black spoon

We were trolling around 2.2 mph, sometimes a little slower depending on direction
