Woke up at 4:45 and checked the weather just in case the weather folks were wrong and the majority of forecasts were incorrect for the morning and things looked perfect. Messaged my brother and he and his son met me at the marina for a quick trip. We got out north of the donut around 6:00 and started trolling in 50' of water. It wasn't a fire drill morning, but fish were steady. Ended up 7/10 with two decent kings and five coho. Green and yellow were the colors and spoons barely outpaced body baits.

Waited a bit too long to pull lines and the storm front clobbered us on the way back in with big waves and a touch of rain.

We were a little east of you we also fished 50 ft of water. Ended up 3 for 7 all nice big coho. Didn’t know it was possible to lose four in a row! They all came deep. Did you catch anything shallow?

We went past you at one point. I was fish with Mike on One More Time ( 251 Proline). We stayed on an east troll with the waves and went 10/15.

Our first Coho was on three colors of lead and that was the shallowest fish. Second Coho came on a J plug ten feet off the bottom. They were everywhere.

What size J-plug were you running for the coho?
