At least ya got out with a nice south wind. Did you mark anything (bait) or a dead sea all day? I was head out of Hammond but passed thinking the wind was gonna pick kick up early.

I'm holding off on the bow hunting until we get a hard frost and the leaves start falling. I could do without the ticks and not being able to see with all the leaves on the trees.

I did mark a few fish PB, especially around the #4. Marked a couple small pods of bait in 45 fow in front of the ditch. I hear ya on the frost. It's hard getting through the woods right now.

I'll be out in the morning. Thanks for saving a few for me. With the weekend forecast looking stormy, this could be my final trip of the season. Heading to MN in a week or so for a writer's conference, fishing, goose hunting and commiserating with old friends. The commiserating will be the best part.

We made it out this morning also, like Bob had the same marks by number 4, marked baitfish in 45 to 47 feet of water mark fish in other areas from 12 feet down out of 47 feet but no takers. We will give it another try in the morning. We had surface temperature of 67° in the dirty water and 65° in the clean water. Fished from 6:30 AM till 1 PM no releases nothing . Rudey

Conference is on the North side of Minneapolis. Will be fishing the Mississippi with peeps from St. Croix Rods, Plano and Hummingbird showing off their new stuff. Waterfowl hunt is way west near Laq qui Parle Refuge, almost to South Dakota.

For what it's worth there were a lot of Steel, Coho and Kings moving up at the Lamprey dam on Trail today. I imagine the ditch has the same activity. I'm sure there are still plenty left in the lake but who knows.

I don't think this qualifies as a report, but I just checked on the boat at Portage Marina to find a dead mature king floating in the vacant slip next to mine. Appears to have been there no more than a day. First king I've seen in weeks. LOL
