TOPIC:

Temps were looking better in closer so set up in the 8's and fished a north and west pattern to the 11's. Activity was pretty consistent early but could only get 1 of the first 4 fish to the boat. in about the 10's we started marking bait and the activity picked up considerably to where we got our two man limit and called it a day about noon.  6 coho, 3 steelies, and King.  Had a nice King on that buried the Ninja board on the 300' weighted steel that came unbuttoned about 5 minutes- go figure!  Fish were between 45' and 80', 54 degree water down 80 - 90'.

When you say you set up in the 8's and fish to the 11's, are you talking about depth-80'110'?  Don't know all the lingo yet.  Thanks in advance.

he's talking about the middle numbers on his GPS - the "minutes" of longitude.  Around the southend, if a person is talking high 30s to high 50s numbers,  it's the middle (latitude) minutes.  Again, here at the south end, a minute of longitude is about a half mile - a minute of latitude is about a mile (statute miles - like we use on land.)
