Summer series tournament 2 with the usual crew and the wife. Fishing was good early in the high 60s to 80 fow west. When that sun came out it was slowwwwww did pick up a few though just covering water going fast. 

7 for 17 or 19. Lost of quick hit cohos. Ended 6 coho 1 steelie. 

No real pattern, took bites from a 400 cooper all the way to a 165 steel. Nice to see all the silver fish still for middle of July but not a good tournament box for us. 

 

Nice catch.  Were you in Indiana waters yet?  What was your best set up on the copper steel, FF or spoons? Spin Doctors? Thin Fish?  anything on Riggers?  Dispys.  17 knocks is a good day, at least there was action.  
 

Fished all day in Illinois. Spoons on steel and copper. Flasher fly and meat on dipseys and spoons on riggers all caught.

We made a calucated guess at having a larger portion of our baits in the lower 3rd of the water column.  As it turns out the was probably not the best choice.  We were surprised at how many bites came up on the few rods we had higher.  We threw a dart and it didnt hit the bullseye but at least it didnt miss the board lol.  Fun as always!

I got the scoreboard all updated as well.

We've kept all our lures in the top 60 fow except for first thing in the morning we'll run a deep downrigger and see if we find anything. Even the kings we've caught or hooked and got off have been in the top 60 fow.

Nice job Tim, may not have been the box you wanted but it still kept you in a great spot for the series.
