Went out with Northwoods and the plan was to dart all over the lake to see what we could find since the winds were finally supposed to be A-ok for that. Unfortunately we were greeted with heavy fog that NEVER went away lol. We just ended up trolling straight north to 95' or so. Ended up with 7 lakers and a coho. There were a few large kings sniffing my spoons - I could feel it!! haha All fish came in 85-95'

I edited the subject - it was 5-11 not 5-10.

Best bait was a blue dolphin down 65 and 30 back..........

We bounced with DF for a while and pulled 2 then changed it out to run higher. Had one hit a 10 color that felt like reeling in a ford focus. Figured she was gonna go 20-30 lbs lol. Took 20+ mins to get in. It was a 12 pounder that was foul hooked  .

OK, I'll switch to Lakers, but I need some advice. What do you do with them? Can, smoke, broil, fry of fertilize. No, I'm not joking or being sarcastic. I'm just looking for some serious recommendations.

Thanks

I usually give them to anyone who is fishing with me. I will even be nice enough to fillet them.

I will smoke a small one - everyone else gets released unless someone else on the boat wants them.

first - thanks Dirtyx glad you got out and hooked into some fish. For cooking we got our first Lakers a couple weeks ago and was not sure how they would taste (have heard mixed of awful to good). My wife made ours on a pan (Mushroom and Wild rice was the recipe name) and I thought it was really good so did my daughter (who is not a fish fan really) and wife. My son has a rub he uses on the Salmon and grills it - he said he thought it was pretty good also. I posted pictures of the two Lakers - they were not small but not huge so not sure if a 20+ lbs fish would taste good or not.
