No way to know but the Lake County stocking sites used to be at Inland Steel's Breakwall and at Whiting Park. At that time the Indiana Harbor Ship Canal was one of the hottest spots to fish. I always thought those Whiting stocked fish imprinted to the smell of the ship canal and that's why the fish went there. Many, many double digit catch days and nights at the ol' shipper! So sure, split the Lake County fish to two locations.
The South End provides useful resources and discussion forums for those that fish The South End of Lake Michigan for Salmon, Steelhead, Perch, and Bass as well as elsewhere in the Region and Chicago area.
