I cant believe it but I might be going for my shakedown as well. Boats been in for about a month already this weather this spring has been extra windy it seems. At least on my days off lol. Im sticking close if we go, models are trending more and more increased wind speeds from south then southwest. Offshore will be choppy. Fishing I heard has been decent in close as of late, water still cold.

This mornings run is looking better. I am about 50 min to an hr away, not as far but still far enough to consider it a factor.

Been out three times do far, but only one was actually a decent day. This weekend weather has been rough, no pun intended. Like Tim, I'll be sticking near shore and targeting east of the port this weekend to start.

Tomorrow might be a wake up and make a decision. The more detailed model HRRR is looking like gusts up to 28mph from the south west, the NAM is a little better, the HRDPS which is a Canadian detailed model looks the best. When the models don't all line up then there is still uncertanty for the wind. 12 mph SW gusts are a lot different than the 28 mph. Next run of the HRDPS is around noon, the HRRR is every hour.

Yeah the latest Saturday morning runs look pretty bad on those wind gusts. The only model that looks different and good is the hrdps which is in turn the highest detailed one, so who knows. No Sunday for me unfortunately. :(
