As of right now temps in the 60s partly cloudy and a light south east wind will make for a great tournament.
Something that could make the tournament more interesting is if some holdover 10-15lb coho showed up in the area and were brought to the weigh-in!

The anticipation of getting my boat done for maiden voyage on tournament day is killing me lol. If I’m not there in my rig rig I plan to fish on someone else’s boat. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone again. This year is going to be such a great event compared to other years.

This year will be great for sure, finally its kind of all coming together. Hard work from all of our guys and some sponsors that believe in trying to build the sport. With this event we are able to compound knowledge and friendships. Thats the primary reason The South End exists. I look forward to seeing you all on Saturday..........wow could not ask for a better weather day!

Guys - I highly recommend getting the boat in early and getting over to registration early. The portage ramp will probably be very busy!! You also have the option of putting in the night before, and putting in a slip at Marina Shores for free. Just call them up, tell them your fishing the tournament and they will give you a slip number to use.

Also, We (Ed / Lickety Split) will be handing out custom Hunter Boys Baits at registration. They will be raffled for those that want them. The only catch is you have to use it the day of the tournament and kindly provide a quick report at the weigh in. That would be great information to Jack Hunter, and helps us give back to him for supporting us. We will have this raffle before registration ends!

So moral of the story is BE EARLY :)

Just an idea. If anyone is looking for a fisherman to fill a spot or if someone that does not have a boat would like to fish in the tournament just ask. Great way to make new friends. Just write a quick message.

If anyone is interested in fishing the tourney and needs a ride, let me know. All my buddies are busy this Saturday and while I don't mind fishing alone, this is going to be too much fun to not share with someone. You just need your fishing license, rain gear if necessary, and any coffee/snacks you want to bring. If you have secret weapon lures, bring them along.

I have a 17' center-console Pro-Line. Three grown bodies is perfect, four can get a bit crowded, but I'm open to a party! I am VERY willing to host kids/spouses/newbies as well.

Just drop me a PM
