Cruise- nice to meet you the other night at the meeting. Glad your back in good enough shape to keep Dirtyx in line. See you at the tourney.

See the location of the Fish Cleaning station at Eagle Point Harbor for the St. Joe Tournament (Aug 29th) below. Since I am trailering, I will plan to drive my boat on trailer to the Captains meeting, then trailer to the DNR launch (near Tackle Haven on Riverview Dr.). Probably vice versa when coming in. Seems like the easiest plan for trailered boats. Else you can get a transient slip in the harbor at a reduced rate for the tournament.

I plan on making the Portage one if all goes well, but have a suggestion. One of the benefits of a tourney is to meet the fellas on this site. Can we introduce ourselves at weigh in or something? It will probably take a few tourneys to remember who is who, but getting to put a name to a face would be great. I just remember "who's next" at the weigh in last time, without any formal or informal introduction. Maybe I was blabbing and missed it.....??
I'm trying to put a team together and hope the weather will support my small boat for that day, but looking forward to it. Thanks

sure - that sounds like a great idea and makes complete sense. I dont think we did any introductions at all at the last tournament - I think I just made the assumption that everyone would talk and introduce themselves within small talk leading up to the actual weigh in. Hindsight..........

Perhaps I will bring a cooler full of beer and to gain access you must introduce yourself. The more you say the more beer you get haha

I am hoping to participate in the tournament. If not I will be around for the weigh-in for sure.

After the weigh-in we could all head over to the Beach House, the restaurant and bar in Marina Shores. Sit back have a few drinks, some food and swap fish stories.......
