Indiana Fisheries Workshop 2026
The annual Indiana Fisheries workshop, sponsored by the GLSI, will be held on Saturday March 7th Izaak Walton League Miller Chapter, 1250 Crisman Rd (Rt 249), Portage, IN 46368 from 2:00PM to 5:00PM.
Here is the lineup of speakers:
Ben Dickinson, IDNR Lake Michigan Biologist, Hatchery production, creel surveys and Lk. Michigan perch fishery.
Jay Wesley, MDNR Lake Michigan Biologist, Lake Michigan and mass marking update.
Dominique Dalcierae Turney, Illinois Indiana Seagrant, IISG fisheries programs.
Dan O’Keefe, Michigan Seagrant, How do we value recreational fisheries.
Bruce Caruso, Perch America, Lk Michigan perch fishing.
Dave Underhill, Trout Unlimited Indiana, new chapter forming for Indiana.
Captain Mark Melton, Fishing tips for silver fishing in Indiana across the season and Lake Michigan perch fishing.
Carter Elenz, Hunting for a fish pump.
Harry Stevens, Fishing tournament sponsor to help fund our hatcheries.
Ed Blissick, GLSI, Increasing funding for our fisheries and stocking.
This is a great opportunity to learn more about our Lake Michigan silver and perch fisheries. You’ll get to speak with and ask questions to DNR representatives and fishing experts and share your feedback and input on how we can improve fishing in Indiana.
GLSI is providing free pizza, and you can purchase drinks from the Izaak Walton League Miller Chapter clubhouse bar.
