Hi everyone! I am new to this forum and I am happy to be a part of The South End. Fishing is a passion on mine and I cant wait to get some good reports for fishing around Michigan City. I am headed up to Michigan City Harbor for the next couple days to chase some silver fish on my 19 foot deep V Fisher for the first time with my 7 month pregnant wife. I will keep you guys updated if we get lucky enough to catch some !!

We went out of Michigan City Harbor and headed out for the afternoon for a few hrs and caught a coho in 93 foot of water NorthWest of the light house about 4 miles. Cant wait to get back out in the morning! Not sure where to go but I am gonna try my spot in 93 foot first and go from there. We were trolling leadcore out 7 parts of line with a dipsy diver and an orange Stinger spoon trailed behind a green and silver flasher.

I cant say with 100% assurance but I believe the fishing may be better a little easy of where you are. 70-90 FOW. That info is just based on bits and pieces of hearsay so take it with a grain of salt. Hopefully someone that runs out of MC can offer better guidance before you get out in the morning.

Welcome! We fished out of New Buffalo Saturday which is the next port up. Between 70-90 fow was good for us and 90-105fow. If you have a gps on your boat we were in between the 52's and 56's on your west number. Most of the charter boats out of MC were west of us though in the 58's to 00's and were reporting catches in the same depth of water. Can't say if they are still there though. Good luck.
