Fished east of the pavillion in 20 FOW give or take and got our two man limit. Outside of hot action for 20-30 minutes it was a slow pick. Some decent fish though with 8 going over 12" but nothing bigger than 13"

Good deal! Glad to see the fish are still there...weather has been fantastic to hold them steady all week. Lets hope it continues for the weekend! Nothing better than perching before hunting season starts...

A friend pulled a Michigan limit in St. Joe yesterday as well

Water is set up perfect right now with cold water concentrating all the perch inside of 35 feet. Unless these easterly winds mess it up, looks pretty good for the next couple days until that big front moves thru next week

I got out this morning with my dad and ended up with 20, only two or three under 10 inches, only a couple dinks to throw back. Wind was stronger than anticipated out of the n/ne and waves were 2-4 and building when we quit at noon. Surface temps are starting to drop, we had 67 in front of the dunes.

Dirty were u anchored or drifting? We were just west of u in the same depth. We left and went west of ditch when plane of the sea went by then heard u got into them right after we left should not leave fish to chase fish but we only had one at the time. I don't fish Perch that often just learning what to do. Thanks for the report.

Both anchored (spot lock) and drifting. Caught over half spot locked over one area though.

Well Dirty,

We got back out after 'em yesterday morning, and had a big ZERO to show for it...fished for about 4 hours and the lake was great. From last sunday to yesterday, surface temps went from 68ish down by the Pavilion to 54-55 yesterday. Gotta figure that might have shut 'em down. When you hold that weight and feel how cold it is, that definitely tells you something. Then again, maybe by the afternoon they turned on for someone? The only positive was, I believe the fish were still there: we marked quite a few and lots of bait balls as well. I trust what I see on my graph, but we just couldn't get 'em to go. Should have brought the trolling rods and trolled back from the pavillion with temps that good!

yea sometimes they can be really frustrating in months that are not March/April or November/December. I hope to get a camera next year so I can watch those sumbitches laugh at my presentations
