Heard of lots of action from Portage up to St. Joe

Lots of boats out by the pumping station in St. Joe this morning when I was at the beach. Perfect conditions for perch fishing, get em while the gettin's good!

We got one jumbo at the mouth between all the wakes and slow bite we went 10 miles east!!!! East of the donut is the only place we found perch in the trough we found a school of smaller perch so we went back to the mouth and seen 8 new perch boats no one doing anything so we ventured a mile or so west 15-20 fow and we ended with 10-15 nice ones only maybe 6 jumbos but definitely a better bite for us anyway this afternoon HOPE THIS HELPS ANYONE GOING OUT TOMORROW GOOD LUCK

Felt like stealing yesterday. Slept off a rough Saturday night and got on the water at 11am out of Michigan City. Set up 1/4 mile west of the pack of boats off Mt Baldy and ran the same drift from 35 to 28ft for 2hrs. Wrapped up with a really nice 2 man limit and a bonus steelhead to boot. Everything on plain hook drop shot. Mix of baby roaches and fatheads from Slez.

Fishing in the mouth of the ditch clogging up the only entry should be stopped. In my opinion its dangerous for you and for boats coming in and out. Swerving in and out with a 30 ft boat trying to avoid other larger boats and perch boats is dangerous.

Also dangerous for the smaller perch boats when a larger boats decideds to not be so nice and swamps the pack.

Glad to see the perch around though. I'll probably be out perchin soon just not near the mouth.

No worse than people trolling for skamania right there, trying to put their planer boards 3' off of the rocks.

Nice job today, thanks for the report.
