Happened a lot(hiting the wall), you are right about rough H20 that day.  I told Bob Petty(ABC) that I would only go to the end of the North/South section of the Inland(Mital/Cliffs now) wall due to it being too rough.  They used the footage on the news that night.  Only took the cameraman due to only 3 life jackets.  My late brother who was with me tried to get a channel 7 hat for us to no aval. Was trying for some early staging Chinnoks that day fishing wise(sunked).  Last story, made Channel 7 news on Veterens' day I beleive in the early nineties.  Was fishing Navy Pier(pre-remodeled as in it's current state) and was at the very east end of the pier with a buddy of mine catching perch(they bit very well that day).   This was when you could pull up right in front of Navy Pier and they had quarter parking meters that you loaded up with quarters.  Well therer was a veteran's day ceromony by the flag poles that we were by with a gun salute and a reef that was thrown in the lake that floated right past us.  Kathy Brock/Channel 7 news was covering the story and she came up to us and asked how the fishing was.  They filmed the reef  floating in the water with us guys fishing and we made the news that evening.   Weather wise it couldnt have been nastier but the fish were bitting.   KJK
