The LMTC does not provide policy recommendations to the lake committee. The LMTC presents science and data, and the LMC makes the policy decisions.

All I can say is that among the states, there is fairly broad support for cutting lake trout significantly (and has been for some time). Now that chinook cuts are official the LMC is turning its eye toward lake trout. They have to work out an agreement that the tribes can live with, and also works with the consent decree and treaty waters. Needless to say, it's complex. The LMC is in discussions to reduce lake trout, but I don't know what their formal meetings and timelines are. I anticipate they'd want to make a decision before fall, when egg take occurs
