Fished Saturday and today. Fished two location this weekend. On Saturday we caught 19 coho and went 1 for 2 on Kings. And released a lot of accidental lakers. Which the water being cold they were releasing very well. Today I took my girls out and fished for about 2 and a half hours and went 1-4 on kings and caught 9 coho. We didn’t get started until about 9 this morning. I know there were two boat that slowed down or even stopped in the pack of boats as I landed my king in a hard turn after being cut off and was forced to turn. Im confinement with the quick radio chatter you knew what was going on and I am sorry for the cluster situation and thank you for working with me. That fish hit in the middle of about the hardest turn you could make and swam sideways. It was tough navigating the boat setting rods holding rods and netting fish by myself. Thank god for auto pilot.

Nice kings and awesome you get to fish with your kids nothing better! Those don't look like 2-4' waves to me? I didn't make the trip up today as the forecast didn't look good. Hoping to get up this week but looks like it's going to blow for a couple of days? Maybe Wednesday we will see!

They definitely were not but the forecast is typically the worst It can be at any point during that day. At about 12:30 the wind switched and blew hard out of the north east so I bet the afternoon probably was 2 to 4.

That’s awesome! It never fails when something is going on topside the big fish want to bite right then. Nice day for having the kids out.

Great job! I have only launched out of portage and Michigan city on the south end. I have a small boat 17’. Would it be best to launch out of Hammond or portage to get into some cohos and hopefully kings? Thanks and tight lines!!
