I fished 90 to 120 FOW today mostly straight north on the Michigan side of the line. Managed a few lake trout, but over in the 03s to 07s some of the MC guys were getting trout, salmon and steel. 95 to 105 feet Tough ride out this morning 16 miles at 16 MPH. Do the math. Was able to run in the mid 20s on the ride home. Temperature break is right at 60 feet. Group of Texans on the boat tomorrow. Yee-haw, cowboy!

Good to hear and thanks for the info.......I am itchin to get out.

Watch out for those Texans, you just never know where you might run into one. Maybe even in southern Indiana.

BNature your trailer was the only one there when we pulled in around 5:30am. We went out east of donut to try for perch with no luck, did not even mark any and played leapfrog with 2 other boats all the way down to black ditch. So @ 830 :we pulled up and ran out to 90 FOW and set up and headed west. Finally started marking fish around noon in 70 FOW north of Gary light with a DOUBLE that actually made it in the boat.The lake laid down real nice and we made one more try at the perch in 50 FOW east of Gary Light saw some nice schools but no taker. NICE TO GET OUT!

Nice brace of steelies you have there. If you don't mind me asking, what did they hit on?

Small one was on the inline board with orange dodger with blue green 2" fly 50' back and 50' out with a 5/8 oz keel sinker.
The other one was right next to it on the Dipsy 3 setting with a green spin doctor and a 3" green fly out 100'
The pic looks yellow for some reason but it was orange.
