BN- great kong there, well done.

Nice job also Biotroller

So i seen 4 miles north of Indiana line and riggers down 70 plus. I assume for me to fish this waters I'm going to need an Illinois license,  is that correct? Just don't want to get into unneeded trouble,  thanks

That’s an awesome fish!  We launched at the same time as you BN.  You might have been waiting for others to show up.  We had the noisy deepV with 3 boys bouncing around.  Thanks for the reports guys
Fish on!

I’m pretty certain you would need an Illinois license when fishing Illinois water. And it’s accompanying salmon /trout stamp. Personally I have an Illinois lifetime fishing/hunting license. I bought it about 10-12 years ago. It was 750$ at the time(for a resident) assuming the price for an Illinois license doesn’t go up (which I can only see it doing that in our great state) it would take me til I was about 68 years old to recoup my investment. However, it certainly makes life a little easier not having to buy one every year. Wish that Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and WI would have a 4 state lifetime license, I’d buy it. And all it’s accompanying required stamps for that matter. It’s a pain to remember my password every year, and I could go on about that… so far this year, I’ve bought an Indiana license, a Michigan, an Ohio, a Wisconsin and HOPEFULLY A CANADIAN LICENSE!

Better safe than sorry, buy them all! I currently have Illinois, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan. Possibly wisconsin this weekend. If it wasn’t for covid I would have Florida & Canada too....

Thanks guys just wanted to make sure where you were at was indeed Illinois and not Michigan.  I don't mind springing for the multiple licenses but I know getting some of the guys i fish with to get them will be a hard sell for 3 states, especially if I'm only getting them out only 2 or 3 times a year

Ltrain I hear ya on the costs etc. maybe buying a one day would be most beneficial for you and/or your counterparts when going out of state. If all else fails, just to be 100% you could call the DNR and ask them that very question. I do that often when not sure about stuff. And yes we did fish both Indiana and Illinois Memorial Day . Didn’t cross into Michigan

Thanks,  think I'll start with the Illinois and go from there.  Don't mind a steady laker bite with a chance at a few silver fish.
