Got out at first light, beautiful morning and headed mile south of state line. Ran riggers down 30, wire out 75 and 55, and ran 150 coppers along with 2 and 6 color. All rods took hits. Boards lost 4 riggers and wire did the damage. Spoon bite over the D/F. Went 10 for 14. Nothing hot and heavy just here and there action but did well. All Solid cohos. Oh and a bonus slobosaurus alewife lol

Congratulations and thanks for the report! Question, when you say spoon over D/F are the spoons sliders or something different?

If they are sliders are the free or pinned?

Sorry I meant to say spoons were hitting better than D/F.  Probably only 3-4 hits on D/F and landed 1. Spoons on riggers both direct and sliders worked better.

Any specific water depth work best for you?  Seems like nothing less than 55 fow these days.

Ya that area out there is 60-70fow. I did cross about a mile into Illinois water with some luck but found south of the line to be better

Thanks for the info.  Heading out tomorrow just don’t know exactly where yet. May try Michigan city. Can get to deeper water quicker there. Now days with fuel prices at $6.50 a gallon…If I do any good I will post it.
