Some of you might remember the last couple years I posted pictures of spoons & crank baits that I had "recovered" from the do not use pile. That works great. I can't tell you how many of those old junk looking lures are now in the top of the box once again. So this year when I started looking for something to keep me busy. The pickings were a bit slimmer than previous years. So I looked at what I had & saw I could use a few crank/stick baits. I found some on line & ordered some. I've been playing around & I'm thinking they just might catch a fish or 2. Here's a picture of what I've been able to do for this season. Oh yes I have since ordered a few more blanks in different sizes.

Well I haven't had a lot of time to spend painting this year so far. Here's a couple of pictures of what I've been able to do.
The spoons & dodgers are all old & were something else in their previous life. The crank/stick baits are purchased new without any paint. Some of the spoons are patterned after ones that have worked for us in the past. Others are just what I've come up with. There are a couple of spoons that are on their last try this season. I've repainted them in different colors for each of the last 4 seasons. They just don't catch fish. Guess I'll keep trying. LOL

www.midwestairbrush.com/ They have everything I use. The orders come pretty quickly if it's not too cold. Last year I placed an order just before the "Polar Vortex" and had to wait before they could ship.

So I've had a little time to work on baits for the spring. Now after the coho have been being caught rather well so far this year I'm hoping there are still a bunch left once we get out there. Well I think I'm covered on body baits. And I had a bit of time so I made a couple mixed veggie type spoons for my buddies.
