These 2 stand up gentleman were able to catch their limit of 5 good walleye, PLUS PLUS, the 5 walleye they caught just happened to have eaten 8 lbs of lead sinkers prior to being caught… LUCK OF THE IRISH … 130 million walleye in Lake Erie and they caught the ones that dine on lead weights… STAND UP CHASE COMINSKY & JAKE RUNYAN, YOU DESERVE ALL THE RECOGNITION THAT IS COMING YOUR WAY… BE PROUD

I was told these were the same guys who failed a lie detector test in the Fall Brawl last year. Sad day for tournament fishing. No excuse for cheating in a fishing tournament with your peers.

Wow!  They should be banned from fishing.

Hahaha, seriously 8 pounds??? I could see thinking you might get away with 8oz, but 8lbs?? Has to be a typo.

What morons. Most tournament anglers can judge the weight within ounces just looking at a fish!

This is all over the walleye forums that I'm on. Can't believe they'd do this, especially with eyes on them for what went on last year at the Brawl.  This year too,  they were consistently cashing checks and putting up big numbers........ now what was alleged had come to be proven. They ruined their reps forever, sponsors will go away , not to mention impending criminal charges.

I heard they have asked Judge Big Jon Cannon to review and said the lead was next to bait fish and they took both... so they are not allowed to look at the the lead or the bait fish becuase bait fish is legal and should give both back. to the captain

On top of that they have a lawyer that said not any of the witnesses were let close enough to watch the search and that judge may have planted the lead in there.

The captain said since he is the only person that uses lead for bait, it makes sense he catches the most and heaviest fish. There is nothing in the rules against using lead for bait  and if there was  he can classify lead as legal just by thinking about it.

Those charges may be a Trumped up and a witch hunt

I don't even know what you're trying to say here...... they got caught red handed and are facing criminal prosecution not to mention they will never fish a tourney again. Loss of sponsors and reputation..... they are tainted for life

You are correct- They got caught red handed. One would think it doesn't get much simpler than that......
