I was actually thinking about going out this evening too if the weather stays calm. Haven’t had a chance to fish the past few days, so it’ll be nice to see what’s biting. I’ll probably just bring a couple fishing  rods and give it a try for a bit.

0-2 tonight on the same bait.  There mouths are getting tougher. Rapala MR-11 custom painted with glow paint by Hunter Boys. Had it on a 5 color. Was surprised with only a few boats out. First one bent the hooks after a pretty long fight. Right at the net he went the other way. The second fish charged the boat and threw it at the back of the boat. wife thought the fish was gone as she was reeling,,, she found out differently.

last night we were the only boat fishing. I'll pass on what has worked for us and the way I prefer to fish this time of year in the evening. We try to leave the marina by 5:30Pm. If like the last couple of evening with a north easterly wind and waves, we run to the west side of the north south port wall. It helps blocking the wind a little, and I like to be set up fishing by time we hit 4 marker. I'll troll no further then 1/4 mile north before we turn to head west. I fish very simple. Only fishing 4 rods. 2 down riggers and 2 off my outriggers. I fish the outriggers this time of year. Easy for us to fish 4 rods. Over the last 2 outings we have been 3-5. We are back at the boat slip by 7:45 home by 8:30, So actual fishing time is short a few hours in the evenings with 4 rods in the water. Not sure why others haven't been fishing. figured I would put this up to see if it can be any help to others. All fish on body baits, spoons have shut down for us. Could be a speed thing, our best speed has been slow 2.4 is a hair slow 2.8 a tad fast. 2.6 has been our go to speed for this time of year fishing body baits.
