Came across a small Steelhead tournament, figured I'd share. Join the Facebook group if you want in. The page will show the previous tournament from last year until you join the group. You will see Sunday's tournament info once you join.

NWI Chrome Clash Coldest Day Tournament
Date: January 17th
Time: However early you desire on the morning of the 17th and then 4 p.m. weigh in at portage riverwalk pavillion again.
The format for this tournament will be the same as the last, biggest fish wins and top 5 spots will payout. It will again be a 20$ entry fee and you have until january 16th at 10 p.m. to pay. If anyone who ties jigs/makes floats/ or anything along those lines would like to sponsor this or put together some prize packages we can make it so more than just top 5 take something home. Lets make this one even better than the last and continue to grow this tournament!!!

Seems pretty cool - honestly never heard of it. Would be great to help get the word out. Now I am thinking about dusting off the boots and getting in the creek. Get on it guys!

I registered to fish it. Been years since I hit the creek - gives me a reason. I am sure it will be fun.

Something to do right? I do not know the guy personally but it looks like Michael Kotfer is who runs it. Honestly, I'm not even sure how I saw the tournament in the first place. Guessing it was shared on one of the Facebook fishing pages I follow.

I messaged him on FB a bit. Seems he is running it. Said he had an acct here on TSE - told him to promote it. I am all for people getting people together. It does nothing but build our relationships and fishery.

Cool to see somebody organizing something. Pretty easy to keep it COVID safe considering everything is outdoors and the winds blowing... I thought the Steelheaders did tournaments like this in the past. Are they defunct now?

I just made my donation haha. I have to work in the morning that day but I plan on hitting Trail in the late morning / early afternoon. If I get one I'll see you at the weigh in!

Hello everyone, I am the one organizing this tournament. It had totally slipped my mind to crosspost this onto here but i appreciate you guys doing it for me. Weigh in is entirely outdoors in an open area to try and be as cautious as possible. Turnout is looking great and still taking registrations till tonight around midnight.
