Don't pitch those fishing licenses yet!! Got email from INDNR stating those permits will be valid until May22,2020 in response to the states Covid problem. One small thread of a silver lining in world laden with clouds right now.

Got a tip from a CO that some states, primarily out west so far, are not issuing non-resident fishing and hunting licenses to discourage travel to them. Was advised to get any out-of-state license that I would normal get (e.g., Illinois and Michigan) before the idea spreads too far.

Ohio already started "Update April 7: In response to the public health situation with COVID-19 and the Ohio Department of Health’s Stay at Home Order, the Division of Wildlife is temporarily suspending the sales of nonresident hunting and fishing licenses until further notice. Sales will resume when COVID-19 guidelines change or are lifted." that is from the Ohio online license site.

I was able to purchase my Illinois NR license on-line this morning. As Ed said - no go in Ohio.

Michigan? Who knows? they took my money but there wasn't any screen to print the license. Said they are going to mail it. I took a screenshot of that screen and printed it out just in case the mail doesn't come before I need to fish in Michigan waters.

I've not heard of IN not selling licenses and I've not been notified to cease selling one-day licenses on my boat.

I did hear from a friend he was unable to buy a KY non-res license, as well.

You are spot on BN about Ky. You cannot buy a hunting permit also.

You were right about keeping Michigan screenshots. I put an order in for updated tags as mine expired this year. 6 weeks later I still don’t have them.
