FYI I just saw this. Daily entrance fees for the national park. Might have implications for people getting out for spring coho and steelhead  Beware that lots of access to shore fish at Portage Lakefront Park, most of the Little Cal, and lower parts of Salt Creek area all on National Park lands. As far as I understand it, even people walking in to those areas would need a pass, whether daily ($15) or annual ($45)

Take a look at the quote from the park manager in the news release. 

"This is a positive step to keep the park accessible, safe and vibrant for all,"

If he really thinks this is true, he's nuts.  Following his logic, if paying a $25 fee to drive into the park will make is more accessible, then why don't they charge 50 bucks and make it twice as accessible?
