Just picked up a 2015 fishing reg book from Indiana. I was looking at the L.M. regs and I read the hook restriction section and I now have the notion that a slider is not legal to use in Indiana's portion of the lake. Someone else read that section and give your thoughts. Hope I am wrong on this one.

Steely Don - I think that is just for the tributaries. Anyone else agree / disagree?

The reg reads "the waters including Lake Michigan tributaries and the St. Joe River and its tributaries" and so on. That line makes me think it could be illegal. Again I hope I am wrong in what I am reading.

I think the key word is tributaries. Only applies to the creeks

I think "the waters including" refers to the lake itself. Do you guys know any DNR people you can ask? Seems a little vague to me. I have not used sliders before and now I have made up some rigs to use this season.

I just Googled the reg's from 2012 to see if they were worded differently then, and they read the same way. I think we are ok.

Common question and responders are all correct. Only applies to the tribs and I could spend a little time and find the specifics to confirm that, but you can just trust us on this one, sliders are fine.
