Me and Northwoods strolled on down to the kank to see what we could find (indiana side) and caught a bunch of small gills. After being disappointed we started driving and using google maps to find some potential water. We found something and wouldnt ya know it held decent fish. We only had an hour or so to fish but took 12 nice 9" gills give or take (and a few other sunfish). They were tasty and had some fun hunting for fish . I am sure we will make a trip back this week sometime and stock the freezer!

Pine lake beds were good as well. They are moving off the beds and hanging In 15 FOW now. It will be a couple of weeks before they stack out in deep water then it will be on. Here are 35 off a good bed! As good or better to eat than Perch in my opinion!!

Dirty you shore fishing for those? Are they hard to find in the river? They look like decent fish!

Yep shore fishing - and yea they can be hard to find, but the right areas can really produce at times. Gonna give it another try tomorrow and see how it pans out with the cold front. Not much of a pan fisherman but the older I get the more I like every aspect of it lol.

Well, another nice day at the river. The kank still gives a good bounty. Had to shore fish but dirty (jeff) has the right spot. Fun when the big lake is not fishable.
