I live a mile away from Pine and fish it a lot. Bluegill have been tough this year but I had a good 27 fish day last weekend. We had some good Pike action a few weeks ago but I haven’t had any luck lately. Always some good Bass fishing out there and Crappie should be good soon. Nice boat!!

Is there a public ramp or a marina you can use. Also is there a motor size restriction.

There is a public ramp on Stone lake which is connected to Pine. I don't believe there is a motor restriction on Pine but Stone has a 10 mph limit, because the last time I was there (7-1-18) there were some "Wake" boats out there and they make huge wakes. I guess that's why they are called wake boats. But it's a good lake to fish if you can be out there when it's not too busy.

Stone and pine are connected and there is a launch in the channel connecting them. No motor size restriction just speed. I grew up in laporte and fished stone a lot.

I fish there as well in my little 14 ft john boat. No problem for me to use that channel in that boat but it can be a challenge for bigger boats to get through the "tube" under Waverly Road when the water is high. It silts up some times too so you gotta watch to not dig bottom. If you have a bigger boat probably best to just launch at one of the paid launches on Pine Lake.

Yes to all of the above. My parents have a pontoon on Pine so I use that boat a lot. Now that we are heading into the “off season” the crowds will be gone and it’s much more fishable on Pine so I’ll be taking the Lund out there doing some spider rigging and trolling. I just launch at Huber’s on South Pine.

Ive fished Pine a couple of times and stone and have never had any luck at all. Not sure what I am doing wrong or if i was just there at the wrong times of the year.
