Hot bite mid afternoon. Outside weed edge. Water temp was 58 degrees in a natural lake. Lost count after 10 (I was wearing shoes).

Good day when you get a bum thumb.

Fun times! Outside of the discharges, the smallies on the big pond remain dormant. I was hoping today would get them going but so far no dice. Out here now just jerking my bait lol.

I hung out another couple of hours and worked my way off the main lake transition are and was rewarded with an hour of good action on a wall in a more typical spawning zone. Always wonder if the fish just turned on or if I had to find them? A pair of boatters were-leaving the bank I moved to and they told me nothing was happening. I proceeded to land somewhere right around 10 chunky smallies in the next hour and a half. I’ve had similar experiences where I’ll fish an area and nothing going on and check back a little later and they’re snapping like crazy. Whatever the explanation, sure is fun when the bass are hitting jerkbaits! I’m stuck working 5 12’s starting tomorrow morning. Hopefully the weather starts cooperating.

That's the experience simular to mine. The fish were stacked up in two 50 yd stretches. Rest of the water was zero. I just made repeated trips over the productive areas. Glad u found some.
