Was over on Erie, thursday and blown off by noon, jigged (purple hair and dark purple head or black) jigs worked best.
Friday started off jigging and should of started off trolling like the other guys, end up with 7 fish with 25 1/2 as our biggest and 18 as our smallest, tons of
dinks, 14 , 14 1/2 all day and probably a few 20 lb sheep head, what a blast, sat we were blown off like the other 200 boats out there. We are mostly jiggers so we like to fish out of Turtle Creek, Wild Wings and a few other locations and fish in front of BESSIE on Locust Reefs and K Can and the other reefs in that area.We ended up with 1 fish sat and then fought the 6ft waves and the other boats that were fooled by the weather forecast also. We always take time to visit Port Clinton and Jolly Ranchers for their Famous Fish. There were 4 boats that always go and we rent an 11 man cabin and have a good time. I have a few pics but forgot some of them because of trying to get out of the weather lol.

Tom, thanks for the report. Nice looking eyes. I fished out of turtle creek many years ago but have never been to wild wings. Do they also have a ramp there? And how close to turle creek are they.

Thanks Wallin - We are hoping the weather forecast changes before Thursday or we may be sitting in cottage all day looking at the waves.

We like to Launch out of Fenwick which is Turtle Creek, its safe, never had a problem with vehicles or launching and theres fish cleaning table, bath room and ice and some bait at the ramp. $10 but thats about normal, Wild Wings and Fenwick are both there by the Happy Hooker bait shop.
Good Luck, be safe and have fun. Also had friends do good trolling blue and chrome.

Well all it was a total washout - literally. Winds, Waves, rain -it was really bad with the forecast only getting worst. We drive out Thursday and the one guy and I braved out in the waves (wasn't my smartest move) and after getting beat up for about 30 - 45 minutes and came in. Woke up this morning to howling winds and waves even worse, so we packed it in and came home.
