Does anyone run one of these? If so im planning on running it on the detachable method but having a hard time deciding on where and how I should attach the rigger release compared to the probe.
The depth raider is basically the same as my fish hawk. I bought a break away cable (from fish hawk like $12) that is between the ball and sensor so if I stick the ball my sensor should stay attached to the rigger cable. Cheaper to lose a ball than a sensor. It is nice to know what is going on and the temp. at the ball. You have bonus gear to play with when the fish are sleeping.
Oh ya, I clip the sensor to the down rigger cable then clip the break away cable on the sensor and clip the ball on it. This makes it removable and easy to store.
